It is the recognition that what affects one part or system affects the whole body. A holistic approach to health is multi-faceted and mindful of the consequences of our habits and actions.
Internationally Therapy Education Council. ITEC is an international examination board, operating in over 38 countries worldwide offering a variety of qualifications. In Ireland, ITEC is regulated by OfQual and all ITEC qualifications are in line with the European Qualifications Framework (EQF) and the National Qualifications Framework Ireland (NQAI)

Having trained in Complimentary Therapy with an ITEC qualification 1999. I worked as a skincare specialist in London for 10 years.

Listowel Beauty & Natural Therapy Centre was born.
Over the 19 years in 2019 of being established in Listowel Co. Kerry, I have seen a growing acceptance of complimentary therapies, and an ever increasing demand for same. Through my experience, I have also seen a rise in obesity, diabetes and depression in adults and an increase in the incidents of these adult diseases occurring in children.
I believe that the whole person is made up of interdependent parts and if one part is not working properly, all the other parts will be affected. In this way, if people have imbalances (physical, emotional, or spiritual) in their lives, it can negatively affect their overall health.
Your body works as one big system. Everything you do from eating, drinking and stress affects your health and well being.

A holistic approach is considered to be more effective and in my experience i find this to be true. I treat the whole body spiritually, mentally emotionally and physically through Massage therapy and advanced reflexology.
My goals to release tension in the muscles. As The Cause Of Muscle Tension. Muscle tension is probably the most common and obvious physical symptom of anxiety. While people experience various degrees of muscle tension, and may feel that tension on different areas of their body, there is no denying that when you have anxiety, your muscles are tense.

I find muscle tension is the most common and obvious physical symptom of anxiety, stress and fatigue. There is no denying when you have some stress, a feeling of being anxious and tense your muscles are tense.

Tension is natural and occurs in us all. It is when you have on going emotional or physical stress that creates pain, loss of sleep ,mobility issues, mood issues and a feeling of just being out of sync it becomes a problem.

Massage therapy / Advanced Reflexology /Cupping therapy will help to reduce tension , you will need to stop your anxiety stress or become aware of them if you want to stop tension coming back.
Some of the benefits of reflexology includes the ability to stimulate nerve function, increase energy, eliminate toxins, stimulate the nervous system, speed up recovery before and after injury.
In addition to getting main stream medical care. I believe holistic health makes people feel better with little or no side effects

Over the years, as I have learned from my clients and responded to their needs, I found myself learning how to seamlessly integrate deeper work into the relaxing style of bodywork I always loved. I have seen how a body that feels safe will open more readily to deeper pressure, when it is applied with presence and compassion. The key is meeting the body where it’s at and then gradually gaining its trust and sinking deeper, while maintaining sensitivity to the tissues.

As trust is built between the client and therapist over time, the body may relax even faster and allow for deeper pressure.
I qualified as a City & Guilds Teacher in 2015. Where i may now offer Diploma courses in Reflexology and Massage therapy.

I specialise in massage therapy and Advanced Reflexology. I have experience in working with babies/ toddlers/ teenagers /Male /Female clients.
The mind controls the body and the body controls the mind.Keeping our energy positive and enlightened may help to encourage our wellness, just as negative thought patterns can continue to make us sick.
When the body is energetically out of balance, it is important to access what is causing the imbalance and how to remedy it.
My complementary therapies in my experience may boost relaxation and reduce stress. They may help to calm your emotions, relieve anxiety, and may increase your general sense of health and well being.
I offer IPL (Intense pulse light ) Lynton Laser hair Reduction/ face rejuvenation /treating re/spider facial veins /Face /neck/chest /back of hands pigmentation and acne.
I use mild Dermaceutra superficial milk chemical peels. They can / may be used to freshen up the skin and can /may help to treat acne, oily skin, pigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles, photo-damage and ageing skin.
Everybody responds to treatments differently. No two bodies are the same.It is very important that you follow the advice of the therapist. The use of medical skincare Dermaceutra maybe recommended to help maintain treatments and to increase the benefits of the treatment given.

PPS; I  recommend clients to discuss with there Doctors before making any changes to there diet, before they start to take any supplements or before they decide to use IPL laser Therapy.
Everybody is different and people respond to therapies in different ways. What works for one person may not work for another.

In 2008 I ran the Dublin City Marathon which was a huge achievement.
July 2015 I did the Ring of Kerry cycle for charity
July 2016  I completed the Ring of Kerry cycle again for charity
