Kay McDonnell
Over the 20 years of being established in Listowel Co. Kerry, I have seen a growing acceptance of complimentary therapies, and an ever increasing demand. I have also seen a rise in obesity, diabetes and depression in adults and an increase in the incidents of these diseases occurring in children.
I believe that the whole person is made up of interdependent parts and if one part is not working properly, all the other parts will be affected. In this way, if people have imbalances (physical, emotional, or spiritual) in their lives, it can negatively affect their overall health.
Your body works as one big system. Everything you do from eating, drinking and stress affects your health and well being.
Kay Says...
Over the years, as I have learned from my clients and I responded to their needs. I found myself learning how to seamlessly integrate deeper work into the relaxing style of bodywork I always loved. I have seen how a body that feels safe will open more readily to deeper pressure, when it is applied with presence and compassion. The key is meeting the body where it’s at and then gradually gaining its trust and sinking deeper, while maintaining sensitivity to the tissues.
As trust is built between the client and therapist over time, the body may relax even faster and allow for deeper pressure.
A holistic approach is considered to be more effective and in my experience I find this to be true. I treat the whole body spiritually, mentally emotionally and physically through Massage therapy and advanced reflexology.
My goals is to release tension in the muscles. Muscle tension is probably the most common and obvious physical symptom of anxiety. While people experience various degrees of muscle tension, and may feel that tension on different areas of their body, there is no denying that when you have anxiety, your muscles are tense.

Kay genuinely has magical powers!
I’m after back surgery and couldn’t sleep and had different pains all over. After one session I was so much better. Reflexology with Kay gives me energy and more of a balance within myself. Myself and family members have been going to Kay for years and she really is fantastic! Looking forward to my next session next week

The mind controls the body and the body controls the mind. Keeping our energy positive and enlightened may help to encourage our wellness, just as negative thought patterns can continue to make us sick.
When the body is energetically out of balance, it is important to assess what is causing the imbalance and how to remedy it.
