Reflexology for Babies

To me, there is nothing more precious than  a pair of baby or toddler feet!

Amazingly, babies respond more quickly to the effects of foot reflexology, because their energy flow is more easily unblocked and proper balance is restored. Also, their feet, being more sensitive - respond beautifully. Babies more readily accept support, because they don’t analyze.

Because babies feet are much smaller than an adults, all of the reflex points are much closer together, so finger movement is very minimal. Also, babies feet are not fully formed, so the pressure used – should be very gentle and nurturing. Time worked, is much shorter.

Parents can no longer rely on “paracetamol” type medicines and antibiotics as these are only effective in moderate use and can even be detrimental through prolonged use, e.g. antibiotics become less effective over time and may not work effectively when needed in severe cases.

Parents and doctors alike are turning their attention to alternative natural remedies such as reflexology which form a part of a healthier lifestyle as opposed to a quick and temporary fix.
Reflexology treatments can alleviate the symptoms of :

• Asthma
• Allergies
• Colic
• Ear and respiratory problems
• Skin problems and Childhood eczema
• Emotional problems
• Glue ear
• Hyperactivity
• Learning and concentration problems
• Menstrual problems in puberty
• Respiratory infections
• Sleep disturbances
• Sporting injuries
• Stress
• Psoriasis
• Relax children taking School Exams
• Teething
Are there any times when my baby should not have reflexology?

If your baby :
  • is more listless and paler than usual
  • has a fever
  • has trembling limbs
  • cries on being touched on body or having limbs moved
  • is breathless especially when drinking
  • has a rash
  • shows signs of a fit
  • has profuse sweating
  • has had any vaccines in the last 48 hours
  • is ‘not quite right’ in your opinion

In such cases please seek medical advice.
