Being young does not prevent you from experiencing stress. You may feel anxious about your body changes, friendships, grades, tests, family issues, homework, work, lack of sleep, health, extra-curricular activities, your future, or your love life. Stress is a normal part of life and we all can learn how to reduce our stress, or cope with it.Sports are increasingly demanding on the teenage body – often resulting in soft tissue injuries. Reflexology can be a helpful tool in speeding the healing and recovery process after a rough game.
Balancing Hormones with Reflexology. Nobody ever said it would be easy going through puberty and today’s teens are bombarded with hormone issues since conception. Reflexology can be used on the endocrine system reflexes to restore a level of balance to the body’s hormone levels.Preteens facing their first menstrual cycle and with classic signs of (PMS) can find comfort in a nurturing reflexology session.
I find some parents turn to reflexology in order to get their child to open up and become more active. When i treat teenagers i find changes in their overall behavior and communication skills. Often quieter children that are normally withdrawn, tend to come out of reflexology more energized and talkative. For teens, this can be a way for them to release emotional tension and allow them to talk about any issues with their reflexology therapist.I find teenagers talk to me as i encourage banter and they can trust me.Having a teenage boy myself help i think.
I find the most common area of treatment for kids and teens include the neck area, since most children in this age range often get aches and pains from sitting in front of the television or computer for hours on end.Reflexology is ideal for releasing tension, eliminating any strain or feelings of discomfort, and is also very soothing. While most kids and teens don’t have much to stress about, you’d be surprised by how well they not only adapt to reflexology, but how much they could end up enjoying it.
Signs or symptoms I find:
The main symptoms in teenagers: a cold or flu, hay fever, headache and back pain caused by usually heavy textbooks or problems with menstruation. Maybe it’s a long time sitting at the PC or crouched over a laptop. Stress and raging hormone issues both in male and females. Exam stress. New school stress.
